How to create an Invoice using QuickBooks Online

This article will demonstrate how to create an Invoice using QuickBooks Online. Following steps are involved in creating an Invoice in Quickbooks Online.

Go to Sales > Invoices


Create an invoice by clicking upon ‘New invoice’


From Customer dropdown, select a customer. Make sure all of their information is correct, especially their email address.


Select Terms dropdown, select the due date. (Terms refer to the number of days until the payment is due. The default is 30 days, but you can change the due date if needed).


Select Product/Services from the dropdown. You can also select ’+Add New’ to create a new product or service right from the invoice.


Enter a quantity, rate and change amount if needed.


If you’re ready to send the invoice, select ’Save and send’. Or, if you’re using QuickBooks Simple Start, select ’Send’.
